"He will find you"

That is why it works: Caroline has had enough, she packs her things. Only the most essential, because if she leaves, she will attract no attention. Carefully, she sneaks out of the house with her dog. She leaves her husband, who controls them, harassed and beaten. But it is not long until he is on their heels.
How it is: "Crackling tension" is on the cover. Really quite exaggerated. "He will find you" is a nice thriller, but not really captivating. The action builds slowly but surely, to be honest even too slow. If after the first half of the book is still no concrete threat to feel for the protagonist, "may well actually be no question of" crackling tension. Too bad.
